Privacy Policy
The app has no account and collects no personal data about you. Your check-ins, scores, and settings stay on your devices, syncing through your own private iCloud rather than through any server of ours. We only ever hold an email address if you contact us for support — and we never sell it.
What we collect
We've built the app so that, in normal use, we don't collect personal information from you at all. There is no sign-up, no login, and no profile.
Information stored on your devices
When you use the app, the following is created and kept on your own devices, under your control:
- your daily loudness check-ins and session scores;
- your matched tone / notch setting;
- your preferences (reminder time, drift-off settings, headphone choice); and
- your streak and history.
None of it is transmitted to us. We operate no account system and no server that receives your training data. If you delete the app, the local copy is removed with it.
iCloud sync
So that your history follows you across your own iPhone and iPad and survives getting a new one, the app mirrors the data listed above into your private iCloud database — the container tied to your own Apple Account, not to us. This is Apple's CloudKit private database:
- it is scoped to your Apple Account, and only your devices signed into that account can read it;
- we cannot access it — a private CloudKit database is not visible or exportable to the developer, and we hold no key to it;
- Apple stores and encrypts it under Apple's privacy policy, so that part is between you and Apple; and
- it is optional — if you are not signed into iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for the app in Settings → your name → iCloud, the app keeps working and simply stores everything locally instead.
To erase the synced copy, delete the app's data from Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Separately, if you use iCloud device backup, Apple may also include app data in your encrypted backup under Apple's terms.
Support requests
If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive the email address and message you provide, plus any details you choose to include. We use this solely to respond to you and to fix problems, and we keep it only as long as needed for that.
Analytics & tracking
The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no third-party trackers of any kind. We do not build advertising profiles of you and we run no telemetry of our own.
Apple provides developers with anonymous, aggregated App Store and device metrics — downloads, crash counts, and similar — only if you have opted into sharing analytics with app developers in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. That data comes from Apple in aggregate and never identifies you.
Payments
The app is purchased through the Apple App Store. Apple processes your payment — we never see your card details. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the limited information we hold (such as your email if you contacted us for support). Because the app itself stores your data on your own devices and in your own iCloud account, you control that data directly. To exercise any right regarding information we hold, contact us at support@tonolux.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
